Seeking help and breaking out of a cycle of repeated behaviours can feel overwhelming or simple at times. Not knowing where to begin is a common experience among clients when accessing therapy. You are not alone!

I am a registered social worker (RSW) and psychotherapist with over 12 years of clinical experience and training ranging in mental health, primary health care, and private practice settings. I am dual-licensed to practice in the provinces of Ontario and Alberta. I am a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW). I hold a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm) from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson University), Bachelor’s of Social Work (BSW) from the University of Waterloo and Masters of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto with an academic concentration in Mental Health & Health and collaborative program in Addictions.

Throughout my career, I've managed a diverse range of cases, from brief therapeutic interventions to sustained counseling and support. I always prioritize a client-centered approach, ensuring each person I work with receives care tailored to their unique needs.

Over the years, I have developed robust collaborations with other healthcare professionals; always emphasizing a comprehensive approach to care that encompasses both mental and physical wellness.

My guiding principle is to cultivate an environment of trust, empathy, and understanding. I am deeply committed to evidence-based practices, ensuring that those I work with benefit from the most current and effective care methodologies. As a staunch advocate for mental health awareness, I continuously strive to challenge and break down the stigmas tied to mental health, promoting a wider appreciation of its intrinsic connection to overall well-being.

My post-graduate training covers several therapeutic modalities, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
