Hi, I’m Deanna!
I have always been passionate about supporting others and advocating for individuals to promote social justice and inclusion. Mental health is vital to the well-being of individuals and our communities. I aim to support and stand beside folks on their journey and do whatever I can to support their recovery. The power of hope, resiliency, and self-determination are fundamental principles for health and well-being.
I am a Registered Social Service Worker with an Honours Degree in Family and Community Social Services (BASc). I am working toward my Master’s in Social Work (MSW) at the University of Windsor. I am particularly interested in working with families, including those who have faced domestic abuse and postpartum experiences for women. Creating an empowering, safe and judgement-free space so individuals don’t feel alone is crucial; seeking support can be difficult initially; I aim to create a positive experience when you are ready to take that first step.
I am compassionate, empathetic and humble and aim to ensure you are heard, have a voice and help select the right individual to meet your needs. This is your journey!
“You never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have.” – Bob Marley
